Pool & Garden Makeover
CAMBERWELL
This was an old and tired garden hiding behind a classical style home in Camberwell. With a dated paved area and ugly pool and pool fence, it was time for a change.
This project began by stripping back the entire yard, leaving nothing but the pool shell and one lonely ornamental pear tree. Working from this blank canvas, we set about creating a very modern landscape, which placed the beautiful pool as the centrepiece of this classic, yet modern, design.
One of the challenges of the project was an impractical slope. This was managed by splitting the area into two distinct level surfaces. Turf was laid on the upper level with a new BBQ and shelter for entertainment. The lower level featured the renovated pool, made all the more appealing with lush poolside planting, and a deck to one end with a small spillway for interest.
